Logic lives in every Datum

Control logic you can actually read

Each Datum can carry its own Formula. Write it as text or build it as a flowchart, and EMCc compiles one into the other and back. No ladder diagrams, no separate PLC program to hunt through.

~100 built-in functions · strict left-to-right evaluation · built-in hysteresis

Virtual Datum, Groups, Timers and Clocks

The building blocks that turn raw readings into a running site.

Virtual Datum

New values calculated from other Datum, such as site net load or kWh. Set the frequency to 0 to make a dashboard switch.

Groups & Super Groups

Organize Datum by system, building or customer, then group the groups.

Timers & Clock Wizards

Unlimited actions after a delay or at a date and time, and Formulas can change them.

Totals & accumulators

Hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and lifetime totals, including kWh.

Text or flowchart

Compile text to a flowchart and de-compile it back. Same logic, whichever way you think.

Global Variables & User Functions

Around 100 built-in functions, plus your own, available to any Formula.

Read · Formula · Store

Each Datum can carry its own Formula

The device returns a value. An optional Formula decides, controls or alerts. The result is stored in current and historical tables. This one runs grid charging for a battery.

Read

The device returns a value: PV kW, battery SOC, total load.

Formula

Optional logic that decides, controls or alerts, with hysteresis against short cycling.

Store

Current and historical tables, ready for graphs, totals and dashboards.
